Manshausen and the Steigen area have a vast range of opportunities for everyone. To maximize your stay, we now have our own full-time guides. They can help, suggest, guide and accompany you on everything from a leisure boat tour to a real climb.
Nordskot Traverse
This exciting and semi-technical trip starts with a hike to the top of Sørskottind where we are rewarded by one of the best views of the islands surrounding Manshausen. We then put on our climbing equipment, and rappel about 5 meters to access the narrow ridgeline that you can see from Nordskot. Walking in a rope team, we have fantastic views on either side of the ridge before descending to Ersvika and a return trip by boat (or car) to Manshausen.
Time: 7-9 hours Difficulty: Medium/Hard

Guided Kayaking
There are so many amazing places to access by kayak in Steigen. The clear water, white sandy beaches and dramatic mountain scenery make for a true paddler’s paradise. If you’d like to push your boundaries with an experienced instructor, or just want to be shown some secret spots with the safety of a guide, we can make it happen. We also offer the våttkort course over two days of paddling.
Time: 2 hour / 4 hour tour

Boat Transfer
Would you like to have a romantic day at the beach on a private island? How about a one-way stroll along the highly recommended Dronningruta (The Queen’s path)? Path
We have the knowledge and experience to take you to some very special places that are best accessed by water.

Fishing Trip
The waters surrounding Manshausen are home to an amazing variety and quantity of fish. We have access to it all with our small boats and can take you out in search of cod, halibut and others.

Sea Eagle Safari
Steigen and the surrounding area are home to a remarkable number of White-Tailed Sea Eagles, and several have active nests nearby. The outer islands are a nature reserve and where hundreds of migratory birds come to nest during the summer. We love to take you out to see some of these special visitors - and maybe take home a few good pictures.
