To bring our vision of grand experiences in small cabins to life, we turned to the life of Børge himself; deep-sea diver, seafarer, explorer of every continent. From his world of tents, boats, and purposeful gear, we shaped a design rooted in minimalism, precision, and quiet efficiency. Here, nothing is accidental. Everything has meaning, and most things do more than one job. Drawers become benches. Shelves unfold into tables. Add warmth and comfort, and you’re not just arriving, you’re settling into something deeper.

At their heart, the Sea Cabins are a place to retreat—your own sanctuary, far removed from the everyday. Step outside to your private patio, with chairs and a table waiting for slow mornings or quiet evenings. Inside, there’s no screen to distract you. Only wide, open windows that frame the world beyond. Settle into a soft chair, feel the embrace of a warm bed, and let the sound of wind and waves carry you elsewhere. Wellness is essential to your stay here, especially above the Arctic Circle. At Manshausen, you can play in nature in any weather—we’re built for it. But you should also unwind afterward: with a long, hot shower, a dip in the outdoor hot tub, or time in the sauna. Every cabin has a spacious, custom-designed bathroom at its center—inviting you to both refresh and recharge.

Though the cabins may look small, they hold more than meets the eye. A second bedroom sits quietly at the back, with its own window and two beds: one full-sized (140 cm) and a cozy bunk beneath. Perfect for two couples or families with children. However you choose to use the space, everyone will sleep soundly in our deeply comfortable beds.

The entrance matters here. It's sealed off from the rest of the cabin because you never know what weather you’ll meet when you burst through the door. Inside, you'll find plenty of shelves, hooks, and drying space. It’s the transition zone, like a diver’s airlock, where you leave the outside behind and step into warmth, calm, and harmony.
